This sport originated from either x Cryptbergia 'Red Burst' or x Cryptbergia Rubra It is a bigeneric hybrid involving Billbergia and Cryptanthus.  The bicolored petals have the distinct trait found in many Billbergia's - the end of the petals recurve.
