This hybrid was made by Mulford foster in 1943, but also occurs as a natural hybrid in both Mexico and Guatemala. The shape is somewhat like Tillandsia ionantha, but a open rosette with softer recurving leaves. The foliage blushes a cerise pink/red color and has purple petals.
