This rare variegated sport, is said to be from a Guatemalan species -  Tillandsia riohondoensis (previously know as T. Rio Hondo). The foliage does not have the same amount of scurf as T. riohondoensis.   As you can see from the image of the blooming one, it can produce numerous offsets. Some will have only variegation on half of the plant As shown in the image, all these offsets are showing consistent albo-margination and variegation.
