Tillandsia pueblensis
$4.00 - $12.00
Very rare in collections. This large grey Vriesea species is from northern Peru. Published in 2010 by Harry Luther and Karen Norton it was named after Jeffrey Kent who found it at 1800 m in a dry cloud forest. Jeff successfully grew plants from seed he had collected in 1999.
It has a spectacular pendent inflorescence. Photo from article in Journal of Bromeliad Society, 60 (2010).
This was recently reclassified and is now a Tillandsia, not Vriesea.
