This hybrid was made by Margaret Patterson using Tillandsia stricta x duratii.  It is different than the one made by Mark Dimmitt, but both have channeled narrow leaves and are reluctant to bloom.  The inflorescence grows to 12 inches tall with some branching and has open purple flowers with a slight fragrance.
