Tillandsia floribunda is found growing in Ecuador and Peru. The two forms are quite different. The Ecuadorian form is a much larger plant, with a dark, rose-colored inflorescence and brown narrow foliage. The Peruvian form is much smaller, with a purple-colored inflorescence and purple petals with white tips, and short silvery-gray foliage. We are offering the Peruvian form, which is rare in collections.
