Small  species of Tillandsia capitata from the Dominican Republic. At one time was labeled Tillandsia capitata var. domingensis, but this name is invalid and it has become T.capitata.  It was registered as T. Domingensis in 2011. The foliage is always dark red and the leaves are narrow, upright and somewhat thick.
