This small form of Tillandsia tenuifolia has stiff grey-green leaves which arch to one side. Short inflorescence is bright pink with white petals. For many years we called this T. aruajei "carminea" type. In the early '80's it was even sold by Tropiflora as T. carminea, as it has some resemblance, but it is not carminea. Years later it was registered by Derek Butcher as T. Dennis, and decided that it is more closely related to Tillandsia tenuifolia. We have used this as a parent when hybridizing T. Blue Bells.
