This Koide hybrid uses Tillandsia chiapensis as the seed parent and T. achyrostachys as the pollen parent. The cross was made in 1989 and it has taken all these years to finally have a few plants available for sale. The foliage is silvery and thick like chiapensis, but upright like achyrostachys.
