This natural hybrid was originally collected in 1985 growing near Mazatlan. It's growth habit is similar to Tillandsia caput-medusae with thick succulent silvery foliage with dense trichomes.  The bloom is dense as in Tillandsia diguetii but the spikes are more like T. caput medusae.
