This is the giant clone of Tillandsia cacticola, 'Splendide'. This is the clone that Mark Dimmitt used in several of his hybrids. I originally acquired a few of thes from Mark in the early 1990's, and now have a few offsets available. They are more succulent then the typical Tillandsia cacticola, and they grow quite large.
