Originally purchased from the hybridizer Peter DeMello as Tillandsia capitata Rubra X rothii. After discussions with Peter we believe this maybe Tillandsia bulbosa X rothii as the base of the plant is bulbous The foliage is green with some adpressed scales. Inflorescence has narrow upright spikes.
