This Brazilian species is closely related to Quesnelia marmorata, and at one time was considered a synonym. It is a terrestrial species which produces offsets on stolens. The green tubular plant with upright leaves which bend at an angle near the top. The compound inflorescence is rosy-pink with violet petals.
