This species of Guzmania is from the Cuenca region of Ecuador. It is found growning at 1800 meters in a could/fog forest. The leaves are approximately 60 cm long, narrow upright and slightly bent. They are covered with light to dark green banding- hieroglyphic markings arranged in lines.
