An incredible large-growing epiphytic anthurium species, which we grew from seeds obtained from an impressive specimen at the San Diego Botanic Garden.
The leaves are ridged, and change from a soft green to a dark, waxy green as they age. The pendent leaves can grow to seven feet and drape gracefully down around the plant which grows high up in trees in its native habitat of Panama. Unlike many tropical anthurium species, we have found this plant to be extremely easy to grow, handling temperatures from the 40s to the low 100s without issue. Plants seem to grow quicker in higher humidity, though they will also handle lower humidity, they will just not increase in size as rapidly.
Plants available will vary in size and may have some leaf imperfections, but new, large leaves are emerging quickly and at least one leaf will be around 12"+. We ship plants bare root. Plants can be shipped potted at request, but extra shipping charges may be added.
